You can buy fertile hatching eggs from all of these chickens and ducks from £1 per egg plus special polystyrene egg box, post and packaging. Payment is through the PayPal secure site, and you can pay with any credit or debit card as well as by PayPal. Eggs can be collected in person from Motygido Farm near New Quay in West Wales. Please call us or email before you purchase to ensure that we have fresh eggs available.

White Silkie Bantams

We have 5 of these small hens and 2 unrelated cockerels. The fertile eggs are £1 each plus post and packing.

Eggs will be packed in custom made polystyrene boxes and packed out with bubble wrap if necessary. Each box will be wrapped in brown paper and will have 'fragile' tape wrapped around it.

Poland Chamois Bantams

Eggs will be a mix of Frizzle and smooth feathered Chamois.  The probability of frizzle chicks from their eggs is about 35%.

Poland Gold Laced Bantams

The majority of our hens have the Frizzle gene like the hens on the left. The probability of frizzle chicks from their eggs is about 50%.

Salmon Faverolle large Fowl

These are lovely docile birds - they are bearded and muffed, have feathered feet and five toes on each foot. The Salmon Faverolle is a French breed and lays a medium sized cream egg.

Cuckoo Maran

These dual purpose chickens lay up to 150 dark brown eggs a year, Originating in France, the Marans were imported to Britain in the 1930s. Altogether there are 9 colour varieties. The Cuckoo Maran is a black and white medium sized speckled chicken. They are very hardy and good foragers.

Lavender Araucana 

The ancestors of the modern Araucana chicken are believed to have been first bred by the Araucanian Indians of Chile. Araucana hens lay a sky blue egg. Even the inside of the shell is blue unlike other blue egg layers where the inside of the shell is white. These are medium sized chickens, larger than bantams, but generally smaller than most large fowl. Although there are other colours, we only have Lavender birds.

Call Ducks

We have several colours of Call Duck - Butterscotch, Pied, Mallard and White and our eggs will have a variety of these colours. These small ducks are first recorded from the Netherlands where they were used as decoys to bring wild ducks into funnel traps. Only the females have the loud call.

Guinea Fowl

Our eggs have hatched to give Pearl Grey, Pied, White and Lavender birds. Unfortunately, we have no idea which eggs will give which colours!

Non-slip Chick Mats

 This is a non-slip, anti-skid, 50 x 30 cm approx. ( 20 inches x 12 inches approx.) washable mat suitable for chick  brooders / incubators with  newly-hatched chicks / ducklings to prevent splay / splayed legs - a common problem with chicks on a smooth surface. The mat can be cut to fit your brooder and washed over and over again. These ducklings are from our own Call Duck eggs.

We are a DEFRA registered egg producer and have had an excellent fertility rate with these chickens and ducks, however, we cannot guarantee hatching after the eggs have been through the postal system. Eggs can also be collected in person from our farm in West Wales from £1 per egg ( 3 minimum ).

Eggs will be unwashed (important to maintain viability) and sent in polystyrene boxes. We suggest that you allow the eggs to settle for 24 hours before incubation.
